Wild Bill’s: Go Wild

If you’re looking for one of the craziest agglomerations of old-timey stuff anywhere in the country, a stop at Wild Bill’s in Middletown will blow you away. This utterly bonkers nostalgia center is a veritable treasure trove of objects, and it’s almost impossible to walk out the door without buying something. Gigantic collections of vinyl record albums from the 50s and onwards make this an amazing spot for crate diggers looking for obscurities or big hits, and their insane magazine collection is big enough to get lost in for hours. The titular Wild Bill is a bearded hippie who travels the country buying up collections and bringing them home to the converted 1940s Mafia nightclub that serves as his store. You can’t miss this place, as the outside of the store is painted with a trippy 60s mural that immortalizes some of the decade’s most famous pop culture figures. There’s really no store like this on Earth, so you owe it to yourself to visit if you’re in the area.
